Hard to believe, but as of today, Boston BarHopper is five years old. As I’ve said before, I started this blog mainly as a way to exercise my writing skills, which were largely dormant at the time. And to be honest, I didn’t think I’d stick with it.
Five years in, I’m still excited to embrace the weekly challenge of coming up with content that I think will be compelling, valuable, and entertaining for anyone who visits this site.
But one aspect of this endeavor that I didn’t anticipate at the outset was the social nature of running a food and drink blog. I’ve had the pleasure of developing relationships with industry professionals, other writers and bloggers, marketing and PR folks, and brand ambassadors. It’s a circle that’s led to professional opportunities that have improved my work as well as personal friendships that I’ve come to cherish.
So in marking this milestone, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who makes this such a fun and interesting venture. Thank you so much for reading, for reaching out with comments and feedback, for sharing your ideas with me. I’m thrilled to embark on Year 6, and I hope you’ll continue on the journey with me.
